P25 Repeaters / Amateur Radio
Amateur Radio Operator’s using P25. We welcome everyone 👍

Quantar repeaters
I keep hearing about quantar repeaters and how good they are. I guess they arent specifcally ham repeaters, but a commercial radio that can be used on ham frequcies.
Are they really that rugged that they can be left untouched for long periods of time without maintenance?

Quantar RSS Programming Software
According to my MOL account, Quantar CPS (RSS no longer available) is RVN5002. Current version is RVN5002AZ (14.09.01), however RVN5002BA (14.10.01) is also shown on the site but "not yet available".
On a side note for any MOL/M company folks lurking here ... brilliant move restricting search terms to 4 characters or greater when people need to search for things like "RSS" or "CPS". Instead I had to search for all "Quantar" items and go through all the results by hand to find it.

Motorola Quantar repeater
I just bought a Motorola Quantar repeater to use for my Ham club repeater and I need to make some changes, but I need the RSS programming software. Can't seem to find it though a Google search.
Help!
I'll pay for it legelly, just don't know where to get it.

Quantar Null cable does not seem to work
Null cable does not seem to work . . .
As advised . . . I purchased a DB9 male to female null cable, but after hooking it up between my computer and the Quantar.
It says misconfiguration or no COM port seen, so now I wonder what the correct cable is? The shop I bought the Quantar from thought it might be a straight through cable? I see a shop on EBay selling a Quantar cable just for this use, but they want $34.95, ouch!
Does anybody know exactly what this cable actually is? I'll buy whatever I need, just want to get it right, thanks
